Writer’s Almanac
Now, something completely off-topic but trust me, it’s to your benefit.
As many of you know, I work in law enforcement — a midnight shift at that. I work on my business during the day till about 3 pm — and then off to bed to repeat the cycle.
Coming home from work and then trying to jump straight into creativity can be almost impossible. I have had to find a way to unwind. I have recently found a way that works for me.

Is Drudge Becoming Less Relevant?
Henry Copeland of Blogads has noted that Drudge has been getting his breaking news from Google — just like the rest of us.
Does that mean that Drudge’s days are numbered, as the godfather of bloggers?
At one time Drudge was known for having the scoop. He started out in the 90′s providing a service for politicians, journalists and media types. Every morning his employees fed his daily list of stories into a bank of auto-dialing fax modems. He became a clearance house for what was hot.

Hmmm… Seems like they missed the boat on this one too. They should have had this and their English language website up, prior to the outbreak of war.

From his position alongside U.S. troops stationed in Kuwait, he writes daily journals and interviews soldiers to report the personal side of the conflict.”

Defense Tech — This Will Work!
Defense Tech is a themed blog, which will gain in popularity and has definite income potential. As this war in Iraq heats up, blogger Noah Shachtman will have to be putting in long hours to keep his blog up to date. This war will be moving so fast…
Of course there isn’t a need to report on everything. Sometimes it is better to pick just one story each day and burrow into it, picking the tidbits of information that other writers and reporters missed. Let the lions feed, and then swoop in like the vultures that we are…

This Is How You Handle Spam!
I received some spam today, so I wrote to the person who sent it. Well, the company they work for anyway. And this is what I said:
