Brad Fallon is reporting on the death of the Overture keyword tool.  THE tool all of us have been using to determine virtual real-estate (VRE)…

As many of you are by now aware, Overture’s “keyword suggestion tool” has gone dead this week after about a month of sporadic behavior. I seem to recall reading that this was part of Yahoo’s plan at the tail end…

Search Engine Journal reports that Google has changed their algorithm for displaying Adwords in search results. Now Google takes into account your landing page, so that searchers are served the most relevant ads.

Be sure and read Google’s guidelines here.

By now you should have all read about the famous “Golden Triangle”. The top/left/above-the fold portion of your web pages and blog entries that attracts the most eyeballs. Of course, Brad Fallon and his SEO partner stressed that in the free videos for StomperNet.

Ok, so you got that.

Google still is in denial concerning click fraud saying that it amounts to less than 10% of clicks. But what else are they supposed to say? If they say that click fraud is a bigger problem they could find shareholders dumping their stock.

If you are advertising with Google Adwords then I highly recommend that you NOT run ads on anything more than Google’s search results. Running ads on partner sites (blogs) is what will kill you. By running ads solely on Google you are removing the financial incentive for the criminals.

Here is a great site that covers SEO for WordPress. And my favorite piece of advice is…

Writing appealing content will always draw more visitors than having content which is bland and/or generic. There are many sites which use a cut-and-paste method for compiling tons and tons of content, but the search engines see this and these sites are penalized. Make your content original and worth reading, and you’ll surely be more successful in the long run.

I have been saying the exact same thing for YEARS. All that voodoo black hat SEO crap doesn’t mean jack. Just serve up what people are looking for and you will pull them in!

For years I have been cautioning all the blogbomb asswipes that their automated RSS feeds would be their downfall, but I also feared that it would take down people like me.

It seems Google is aiming to expand it’s revenue streams by offering Wi-Fi access as evidenced by this FAQ on their site.

At one time Earthlink was planning on doing the same thing. They were going to install towers in metro areas, but I think they failed to implement their plan fast enough. They lost a lot of subscribers during the switch from dial-up to high-speed Internet service.

I don’t visit forums or message boards very often.

Why?

1. Because it’s like dope. You can spend the whole day in there reading meaningless shit and commenting on threads. Time that would be better spent working on your business.

2. I hate idiots and trolls. When someone is disrespectful to me — I wanna climb through the cable and cave their head in. I guess that is the Marine in me.

The NRO better watch its back.

Once upon a time, detailed photo images of the earth were classified, now they are FREE for the taking… I mean searching.
