Did you watch the Academy Awards on Sunday?

I did!

I was curious to see if Brokeback Mountain was going to take the award for Best Picture.

It didn’t win the award for best picture but it sure has been profitable! In fact, many Hollywood moguls say we should expect more movies like Brokeback Mountain, because they are easier and cheaper to produce — and offer the studios a far greater return on investment.

“Brokeback Mountain” was produced at a cost of 14 million dollars and has earned $127 million to date. A whopping return on investment of 9 times!

I am not sure if you heard, but AOL and Yahoo are planning to charge marketers to have their emails delivered to AOL and Yahoo addresses. Already marketers and techies are lashing out at the idea.

Do I think charging for each email is going to solve the problem?

As if to put a big ! to my recent special report: a recent survey proves my point that if you are blogging and expecting that your blog and RSS are the best way to contact readers, prospects or customers — YOU ARE WRONG.

This data is not surprising and only shows that even bloggers still need to deliver their content via e-mail as well, using RSS as a supplement and not as a replacement.

I am assuming that you are engaging in some form of email marketing…

(Don’t you dare tell me that blogging is the ONLY thing that you do. Because you are missing out of serious profits.)
